Ensembles

Our Beginning Band program is led by Director Allison Edge.

Any Epping student in 4th and 5th grade who is interested in playing an instrument may join band. 

Band students meet twice a week. Once in the morning at 7:30 prior to the start of school for a full band rehearsal, and once during the school day for instrument lessons. Band students will miss one UA class a week. Band lesson days rotate to ensure students will not frequently miss the same UA class. 

We have 3 performances each year: a December holiday concert, a March Music In Our Schools Month concert, and a May end of year concert.

At Epping Middle School we have a 6th grade concert band and a combined 7th/8th grade concert band.

The Middle School bands welcome all middle school students that play a wind or percussion instrument.

 The bands concentrate on the performance of high quality concert band literature and perform three in-school concerts each year. There are a great number of opportunities to perform outside of school for festivals for both the whole band and for individuals. 

Dedication to improving skills and musical knowledge is essential to participate in the concert band. Individual practice outside of rehearsal is required. Any student with little or no experience is welcome. 

The Concert Band welcomes all high school students that play a wind or percussion instrument. The band will concentrate on the performance of high quality concert band literature. All scheduled performances are a required element of this course. Dedication to improvement of skills and musical knowledge is essential to participate in the concert band. Students will be expected to perform assignments regularly with emphasis on rhythm reading and producing an appropriate tone. Individual practice outside of rehearsal is required. Any student with little or no experience is welcome.

Pep Band and Jazz Band are both extracurricular opportunities for students to participate in outside of class. These bands meet after school. 

The Pep Band performs at some home football game and some home basketball games. 

 Jazz Bands perform at three in-school concerts each year. 

Elementary Chorus is open to students in grades 3, 4 & 5 and meets once a week after school. Students may join for one session but are encouraged to stay for both! Anyone can join who has an interest in singing more challenging music. Students will work on the basics of choral singing and will be introduced to singing in two parts. 

We have a December holiday concert, a March Music In Our Schools Month concert, and a May end of year concert each year. Each session will participate in one formal concert and will have additional performance opportunities as they arise.

The High School and Middle School Choruses are performing ensembles of students who want to sing and have fun! Vocal technique, music reading, rehearsal techniques and performance discipline are developed in depth as members prepare for a variety of performances and festivals throughout the year. Interested students must be committed to quality results and possess a willingness to try new things. Both Choruses perform in three concerts throughout the year, as well as other various performance opportunities.

EES is currently working on a production of Gross Busters, The Monster Musical with planned performances in February 2027. 

EES students also have performance opportunities with our Epping Community Theater including upcoming productions of Frozen in November and A Charlie Brown Christmas  in December. Visit the Epping Community Theater website for more information.   

Our middle and high school students have opportunities to participate in productions through our school based productions and our partnership with the Epping Community Theater.

EMHS Drama is looking forward to our upcoming one act play, How to Get Away With a Murder Mystery by don Solidis with performances in January 2027.

EMHS will be putting on a spring musical in partnership with the Epping Community Theater of Disney's Marry Poppins Jr. with shows in April 2027
